An amazing mix of European beauty, brains and musical talent, DJ Martina started her career at age 19 as radio host and music reporter for Austria’s best-loved and most influential station ORF/HITRADIO OE3. She presented the weekly tv-charts show “Austria Top 40” on ORF1 in 1999 to 2002, and was nominated for the Austrian tv-award ROMY as Best Female Show master and chosen as “Sexiest Lady On Screen”. Despite her busy schedule as a tv-presenter and numerous radio shows she pursued her singing career; and became the front woman for the pop band Philomenas Garden of Warner Music. Later she rocked the dance floor with her solo act TINKA in Zomba Records and decided to set up her own record label.

Once upon a time in the district of Adliya, there was an Italian restaurant named Titus Arch. One day, somebody came along from across the bridge and decided to tear down some walls, recreate the look, bring in a much-loved chef from Sardinia and voila! A new, reformed and stylish Italian restaurant is born: Oliveto.

Oliveto in Khobar has been running since 1997. Near the center of the city, it has a contemporary and elegant interior with a peaceful atmosphere (which currently underwent some transformation of its own!). In 2000, popular Chef Paolo Arca left his faithful customers in Bahrain and came to Oliveto, Khobar. And now, he’s back in Bahrain, cooking his Sardinian-inspired pastas, meats and seafood.

Oliveto is a contemporary restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine (the only bonafide authentic Italian cuisine in Bahrain) reflective of a simplified, yet refined approach to taste – it is our interpretation of ultimate gourmet dining - with an oomph.
